In the latest issue of Fuel (Term 1, 2010), I specified that Mr. Bigglesworth was found in 10 (ten, X) places throughout the magazine. In a mindless act, I forgot I removed one of the Bigglesworth’s and forgot to place him in a different place, hence there are actually only 9 (nine, IX) instances of Mr. Bigglesworth in Fuel.

Summer is coming!1 Nov 09
That’s right folks, it’s November which means one more month and we can expect long, gorgeous Summer days! Isn’t that exciting?
We’ve had so much going on here at Northcross lately that you might need some refreshers on what’s been happening in case you blinked and missed it.

Blender has been going off every second Friday night with events like ice-skating, tenpin, Real Life and the Parachute Roadshow! You can see photos here.
There have been baptisms GALORE here at Wave Youth. Ally, Abby and Barbara had theirs down at Browns Bay beach in the pouring rain. Jono wasn’t as brave so he chose the warmth of the baptismal in our Wave service. Dan had his at Tawharanui, also in the freezing cold water. If you’re reading this and you want to know more about baptism, see the A-Team and have a chat.
Tawharanui was loads of fun over Labour Weekend. We had a go at roughing it (some of the boys were a bit stinky by the end of it). The girls held up pretty well under the stress of long-drops and no showers. It was an awesome chance to get to know each other a bit better and hang out. Dan’s baptism was a highlight and the weather was perfect. You can check out the myriads of photos here. WOOOO!

Finally, we had Whoop It Up! It was great to see so many people from the community come out and get into heaps of games. Thanks to everyone who helped out on a game, behind the candy floss machine or making toffee apples (weren’t they amazing!!!). The games were heaps and heaps of fun…. laser tag, gladiator, horizontal bungee, sumo bop, aaaaaannnd THE GIANT INFLATABLE OBSTACLE COURSE! Photos and video coming soon…
That’s not it for this year folks, we still have many hilarious antics to come. Don’t forget about the Bonfire Bonanza at the Elley’s or the Night of the Stars for all you leaders or the Wave Finale.

And then came little gremlins5 Sep 09
If you’ve been wondering why this site has been sprouting out funny errors over the past week, you can safely blame the little gremlin(s) which came and infiltrated our fortress, that is our website.
About one week ago, the site was hacked by non other than a hacker. Then we had to move servers, straighten the books on the shelf they knockd over and the clean the dirty mud-stained footprints the hacker left behind on our living room rug.
However fear not, we have triumphed! Back to scheduled programming.
The Slot27 Aug 09
So at the Wave service we have this thing called The Slot. It’s basically YOUR 5 mins to tell us all what’s on your heart. It could be something God’s done in your life recently, something he’s in the middle of doing or just something you’ve learnt in your time on this planet.
If you’d like to give it a whirl, let one of the A-Team know by filling out this page.

Upcoming Events
- 40hr Famine →May 25, 2012 8:00pm–May 27, 2012 12:00pm @ Northcross Church
Yep, it’s that time of the year again, the 40 Hour Famine is just around the corner. Last year, we hosted a huge sleep over at church with various competitions between the four teams (Yellow, blue, green, and red). The Red team was robbed by the judges and eventually it was Green team who were victorious in the end. It was a great time of activities and unity but also for a good cause. Through the sponsorship, baking, donations and the like, we put in a huge effort and made $4000!
This year we want to beat last year’s figure. This year’s 40HF will help children in Mali and Niger, so that they can have food all year round. So register now to make a difference.
So get pumped as we prepare for another sleep over at church on the 25th of May… it’s going to be a big deal.
